Dr. El-Kass is an interventional nephrologist at Southwest Kidney Institute in Tucson and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona. He earned his medical degree from the University of Aleppo in Syria and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn.

He went on to complete fellowships in Nephrology at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and in Geriatric Medicine at Long Island Medical Center/North Shore University Hospital.

Dr. El-Kass is board certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and Geriatric Medicine, and is certified in Interventional Nephrology by the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology.
