Biography

Alfredo Fabrega, MD, FACS is a board-certified vascular surgeon. He earned his medical degree in Panama; completed his general surgery residency at McGill University in Montreal; and completed a multiorgan transplant fellowship at the University of Minnesota. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.

At SKI Vascular Center in Phoenix, Dr. Fabrega provides specialized care for patients with kidney disease. He has more than 25 years of experience as a transplant surgeon, with expertise in kidney and pancreas transplantation. In addition, he performs fistula creation and inserts peritoneal dialysis catheters for dialysis patients.

Dr. Fabrega serves as Director of the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Programs at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix and is a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Arizona. 

Dr. Fabrega is fluent in English and Spanish.
